What Jane Saw - a Retrospective on Sir Joshua Reynolds

My friend Claire shared this link with me, it may very well be that it's old news, but I am still delighted and happy to spend quite a few hours on the reconstructed view of the gallery (see the picture below) what Jane (yes, Jane Austen) visited :-)

The Watson's bei Sotheby's

Dies gehört zwar nicht ganz ins Ressort "Tanz", da Jane Austen jedoch eine der bekanntesten Autorinnen für "unsere" Epoche ist möchte ich die Nachricht nicht unterschlagen:

Bei Sotheby's ging das Originamanuskript der Watsons für £993,250 über den Auktionstisch - erstanden hat es die Bodleian Library in Oxford. Da können wir hoffen, dass es irgendwann deren digitalem Archiv zugeführt wird.
